Job Title: Senior Financial Reporting Analyst Location: Remote (LATAM Preferred) Compensation: 3000 – 4000 USD/month Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (EST) NOTE: INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR POSITION About the Company: Sagan represents a growing US-based company managing a complex multi-entity and multi-system financial environment. Position Overview: The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will play a critical role in managing financial reporting, consolidations, reconciliations, and audit support across multiple subsidiaries and reporting systems. This position requires a highly analytical accounting professional with strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to navigate complex financial environments independently. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling sophisticated reconciliations, supporting acquisition-related accounting activities, and contributing to the development of scalable reporting processes. This role will work closely with the CFO and have meaningful visibility and influence across the organization. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and manage multi-entity financial consolidations and reporting processes. • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities across multiple systems and subsidiaries. • Prepare and reconcile complex financial statements and schedules. • Build and analyze cash flow statements from scratch using underlying financial data. • Support audit preparation, including drafting financial statement footnotes and supporting documentation. • Assist with acquisition-related accounting, including opening balance sheet accounting and integration support. • Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting workflows and reporting accuracy. • Develop and maintain advanced Excel-based financial analyses and reporting tools. • Collaborate closely with finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. • Ensure financial reporting accuracy, completeness, and compliance across all assigned entities. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, or related finance functions. • Strong multi-entity consolidation and reconciliation experience required. • Demonstrated ability to build cash flow statements from scratch and explain underlying accounting mechanics. • Experience supporting external audits and preparing financial reporting documentation. • Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, reconciliations, and financial modeling. • Strong understanding of close processes and financial reporting cycles. • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment. • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. • Availability to work within EST business hours. Nice-to-Haves: • Experience supporting acquisition accounting and post-acquisition integrations. • Experience drafting financial statement footnotes. • Exposure to financial consolidation systems such as Cube, Hyperion, NetSuite, or similar platforms. • Big 4 or public accounting background. • Experience working in high-growth or multi-entity organizations. • CPA or CPA-track candidates preferred.
