Production Graphic Designer

Job Title: Production Graphic Designer Location: Remote (LATAM Preferred) Compensation: 1500 – 2500 USD/month Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (CST) NOTE: INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR POSITION About the Company: Sagan represents a US-based decorated apparel and promotional products business with a retail store in Illinois. The company produces screen-printed, DTF, embroidered, and promotional items for business and community customers, and is growing its remote team to keep production moving smoothly. Position Overview: We’re looking for a Production Graphic Designer, not a creative or social-media designer. You’ll take customer artwork in whatever state it arrives, fix it, and set it up correctly for screen printing, DTF, embroidery digitizing, and other decoration methods. You’ll build clear proofs and see each job through to customer approval. Success means artwork and proofs keep moving accurately whether or not the store is busy, and nobody on the production floor has to stop and fix a file. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare, clean up, vectorize, resize, and modify customer artwork in Adobe Illustrator. • Set up files correctly for screen printing, DTF printing, embroidery digitizing, promotional-product suppliers, and other decoration methods: right format, size, colour setup, and method. • Catch low-resolution, transparency, vector, colour, and sizing problems before they reach production. • Create professional proofs showing the correct product, colour, artwork placement, and approximate decoration size. • Send proofs, manage customer email and calls through final approval, follow up with vendors, and ask clear questions when instructions or artwork are unclear. • Track every open artwork and proof job so nothing stalls, and save, name, and organize final files consistently. • Work closely with the US-based customer-service and production teams. • When artwork volume allows, help with webstore setup and graphics, basic product research, and quote preparation. Qualifications: • Advanced Adobe Illustrator skills, including vectorizing, spot colour, and production file setup. • Hands-on production art experience in at least one of: screen printing, DTF, embroidery, promotional products, signage, or print prepress. • A sharp eye for artwork issues that cause print problems. • Highly organized, with a reliable system for tracking many jobs at once and following up without reminders. • Clear, professional written communication with customers and vendors. • Available Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time. • Reliable internet and a computer that runs Adobe Illustrator. Nice-to-Haves: • Experience across more than one decoration method (screen print, DTF, embroidery). • Decorated apparel or promotional products industry background. • Embroidery digitizing experience. • Webstore building, Adobe Photoshop, or quote preparation experience.
